# Can I attend therapy sessions from outside of Canada?
Shift Collab offers virtual therapy services within Canada only. Our therapists are licensed and registered in Canada, so sessions are available when you are physically located in Canada. If you plan to travel outside of Canada, let your therapist know in advance so they can confirm whether sessions can continue.
## Where does Shift Collab offer therapy services?
Shift Collab is a Canadian virtual therapy practice. Our therapists are licensed and registered to provide care within Canada only.
This means sessions are typically available when you are physically located in Canada.
## Can I attend sessions while travelling or living outside of Canada?
In some cases, it may be possible , but it depends on your therapist’s licensing requirements.
Therapists must follow the rules set by their regulatory college. Before continuing care while you’re outside of Canada, your therapist may need to:
- Confirm whether they are allowed to provide care in your current location
- Receive guidance or approval from their regulatory body
We recommend discussing any upcoming travel plans with your therapist in advance.
## What happens if I join a session from outside of Canada without notifying my therapist?
If your therapist becomes aware during a session that you are outside of Canada, the session may need to be **paused or rescheduled**.
This allows the therapist time to:
- Confirm whether they are permitted to continue the session
- Ensure they are practicing within their professional and legal guidelines.
