What if I can't afford the full session rate?
Options that may help make therapy more accessible
We know that therapy is an investment, and the standard session rate isn’t always affordable — especially for those without extended health benefits.
If you’re interested in starting therapy but cost is a barrier, you’re welcome to speak directly with your matched therapist about the possibility of a temporary reduced rate. Simply bring it up at the start of your first session or when scheduling your intake.
In some cases, therapists may be able to offer a slightly reduced session fee for a limited period of time. These arrangements are discussed directly between you and your therapist and, if approved, are typically in place for approximately 2–3 months, after which you and your therapist will check in to reassess whether the arrangement should continue.
While reduced rates aren’t guaranteed and are subject to each therapist's availability and discretion, we always encourage you to have an open conversation about what’s possible. Therapists will never judge you for asking.
