Unfortunately, we cannot diagnose or prescribe any medication.
At our clinic, we have Registered Social Workers (RSWs) and Registered Psychotherapists (RPs). In Ontario, RSWs and RPs don’t have the ability to complete a diagnosis or prescribe medication. Only medical doctors, psychologists, and psychiatrists can complete a clinical diagnosis. And of these professionals, doctors and psychiatrists are both covered by OHIP and are able to prescribe medication.
